|Standard Gauge Railway, Kenya
Built under the FIDIC EPC/Turnkey Conditions of Contract (Silver Book), the single-track standard gauge railway line between Mombasa and Nairobi will have a route length of 472km and a total length of 609km. This presentation will be delivered by Eng. Johnson Matu Mwangi, MD of APEC Consortium and Chairman of ACEK.
|Sanitation & Drainage Project, Zambia
Financed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation, this ambitious sanitation and drainage project was developed under the FIDIC Red Book. MCC presenters Marc Tarkch and Chipili Chikamba will talk you through the lessons learnt and challenges faced at different stages of the project. Not to be missed.
|Water Supply Project, Tanzania
Hear about the use of the FIDIC Yellow Book (FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build) in Tanzania where it helped successfully structure a water supply project. This insightful case study will be presented by Mark Etheridge of Jacobs Engineering (UK).
|Neckartal Dam, Namibia
Built under FIDIC Red Book Conditions of Contract, the Neckartal will be the largest water storage dam in Namibia and indeed Southern Africa, holding 857 million cubic metres of water, which will be used to irrigate 5,000 hectares of agricultural land. This session will be delivered FIDIC accredited trainer Mr Kevin Spence.
